Default Stainless vs Diamond Plate - which one is better

I just wanted to know different opinions on rocker panels, kick plates, covers etc.

What lasts and looks good longer Stainless Steel or Diamond Plate?

Which one gets scratched up the easiest?

Which one is easier to clean?

What would you buy?

Diamond plate goes on lifted carts, stainless goes on road carts. At least in my world it does, LOL!

If your talking polished!! for both.
Stainless will look better longer, is harder to work with. weighs more.
Diamond plate (aluminum) will dull faster but is eazy to polish.

What Gman said. Diamond plate is tough and rugged looking where as stainless has that sleek sporty look to it.

Although Terry made diamond plate look very sleek.

I put diamond plate on mine, but it came off the bed rails of my old stepside pickup so the diamond plate was a no cost option. It helps that the fit was almost perfect too Here is a picture (cart is under construction):

If you have little fingers to fit in between the bumps.

I use a 8'' high speed buffing wheel, not pad!
I own tractor trailers been buffing aluminum for years.
