Anyone here ever install this 2-piece aluminum diamond plate floor for TXT? I could use some advice.

It'll look good for a short time, then it'll be all scratched up. Not to mention slippery if it gets wet and hot as hell after the sun beats on it for awhile. There is a rubber mat that has the diamond plate tread available for a TXT that comes in either black or grey for less than half the price.

Thanks - I wish I would have asked this BEFORE I bought it several months ago, but I am committed now. I love the look, but didn't really think about heat and slickness.

Anyway, looking for install advice.

Before you install it, you can put some bed liner material (either spray on or roll in will work) in the areas where your feet rest the most to prevent slippage and scratches. It'll also help with the heat problem.

I have the one you have on my cart and yes it has the drawbacks that everyone says. Install the firewall portion first and lay the lower portion on top of it. I had a heck of a time getting the floor part to lay right. I actually ended up installing the dp floor over the factory floor mat and that seemed to work out the best. I drilled thru the dp and into the factory underlayment on the firewal land the floor and used stainless screws to attach it. I personally love the look and I'm willing to put up with the drawbacks to get it.

I made a mat to go right where my feet are to protect the dp from some left over mats Harbor Freight mats that I put in my shop and that has worked well.
