Default Creative solution to keep the dog from falling out

Every time I go to take the cart out Buck just has to come with, which I think is fun. He has fallen out once that resulted in a week of limping around. It gets annoying to always be telling him to sit or laydown in the cargo box although he does when things get really rough. So to keep him inside the cago box but still be easily removed for hauling stuff I built a simple framework out of emt. It works really well and keeps my buddy safe.

Looks great but my attack rat could jump through those

He has jumped out once at about 20 on a soft dirt road thank goodness. Did a nice little barrel roll. Got up covered in dirt and gave me the look.. Hasn't attempted since then.

Buck Isn't that quick of a learner and I'm definately not interested in paying avoidable vet bills. I thought the framework would be a problem when navigating tight trails but its was easy to adjust my driving to keep it from getting ripped off. The rear cross brace has threaded rod inside it to keep it all nice and tight. The nut are on the outside and they occasionally scrape trees.

I like it!

Our 3 dogs think they should be in the front on you lap
Luckily all 3 put together don't weigh 40 lbs

NIce job, great idea. My dog will hang way out so I had to build something as the slightest turn would send her.....

I made the one below for our old Par Car we had. Materials are scrap wood and a piece of carpet a neighbor was getting replaced. The Par Car is gone and now I use a piece of plywood c-clamped to the seat handle in our Club Car shown in my avatar.
