2007 DS Project
Let the fun begin.
First order of business is to prepare body for paint. I plan on adding rear seat, HD rear springs, light kit and who else knows what. Stay tuned.... |

Add replace front spring to the list. Busted today.
I am going to start prepping the body this week. I want to make sure I get all the steps right before it gets sprayed. 1. Remove body 2. Sand/bondo the small scratches. 3. Wash and air dry 4. Scuff 5. Wax and tar remover 6. Adhesion promoter 7. Prime 8. Paint Is clear coat needed? Does CC make it harder to buff or sand out future scratches. Any advice is very appreciated! |

Re: 2007 DS Project
Installed the front and rear HD springs today.
Front went well, took about an hour. Rears were a bit more tricky. My front bolts came off easily (hit them with PB a few hours earlier). The first side took me about 2 hours to get done. I could not get everything to line up (U bolt holes, etc). Luckily the other side took about 20 minutes. I need to get a pair of the Monroe 5758 shocks, the stock ones are now too short. Still waiting on the rear body to get painted. My dad got busy at work and hasnt had a chance to spray it yet. |

Cowl installed. Plastic bling on the wheels done....
Just waiting on the rear end to be painted, rear seat to ship, find some shock extenders (easier to find a sasquatch then shock extenders) and find a light kit. |
