Default TXT Nameplate Fill in?

I'm currently restoring a 98 TXT. Has anyone ever tried to make the nameplate area flush with the rest of the cowl? It would be too deep for any type of filler (bondo ect.) I assume. Does anyone know of a bolt on nameplate that would bolt on and be flush with the hood?

That depression could be erased easily with a quality fiber reinforced filler. If you'd prefer a custom nameplate, they are available.

I'm not sure how good the filler will hold. The recess is kind of deep, and the body is plastic, not fiberglass.Maybe check with an auto-body shop,or supplier for recommendations.

Scuff it good with 60 grit abrasive paper. It will hold just fine.
