Hitch on aluminum rear step
Does anyone have a hitch installed on an aluminum rear step? I've seen a few online that said not for aluminum. I'm just going to use it to move my aluminum trailer and to hitch up a pull behind lawn sweeper and utility cart.
I have an aluminum rear flip seat and this is one style that I've been looking at. |

Re: Hitch on aluminum rear step
I decided to order a hitch that bolts to the frame and will use an extension to extend past the step. This seems to be better than putting stress on the aluminum step.
The trailer tongue weight is about 80lbs but I can use the wheel jack to take off some weight as I move it around the yard. Anything else I would hitch up would be for pulling with very little tongue weight. |
