re: Hydro Printing
I guess no one has tried this method. I am cosidering this method to do my camo on the 2007 CC build. I was asking because I was concerned about how it would hold up and last. Please if anyone has tried it please share.

re: Hydro Printing
I had to search internet wiki's and other explanations to understand what you were even talking about. I have never come across anyone here who has used it but that's not to say it hasn't been done. The process appears to be more complicated and I would think more expensive. What I read thou of the process I think it would hold up better than a wrap. If your thrashing through the woods I'd think the applications of clear coats and enamels over the hydro print would hold up better, unless a wrap gets the same treatment.
Give it a try and let us know what you think. |

re: Hydro Printing
There was a long discussion about Hydro printing here a while back. Iirc, the general consensus was that it's a lot of money and experimentation to get it all set up properly and a lot of trade secrets that the franchisers are / were reluctant to give out. Some folks built small tanks to coat accessories etc but I don't recall anyone getting anything built up that could handle a cart body.

Re: Hydro Printing
Yep, and $450 to do it in what ? It's not like water transfer printing can give you level logo's or designs. It's more suited to Camo designs and random patterns. For not much more a wrap would be a better option. Hell, $450 buys one hell of a lot a paint and clearcoat. Complete waste of money imho. Get your cart airbrushed stickered or whatever over a nice paint job and save a bunch of $$$$$.

Re: Hydro Printing
Camo is the plan at this time. But who knows when it gets to paint stage what it will end up being!
