(Deer Hunters) Homemade Automatic Ricebran Feeder
I know it doesn't have anything to do with carts, but I did haul mine to its location with my cart. I made an automatic rice bran feeder. I get 3/4 lb. of rice bran with a 2 second run time. It is a 12 volt gear driven system. Pretty easy to make if anyone is interested let me know. I plan on mixing some corn in with it to see how it works. There a few minor things that I plan on changing, but it works great.

Re: (Deer Hunters) Homemade Automatic Ricebran Feeder
I am offshore at work at the moment. I will take some pictures when I get home. It took a little out the box thinking to come up with the matierials list. I am still thinking of a way to make it better. I would like to make them and sell them to local hunters. There are very few automatic ricebran feeders on the market. The good ones are $500 or more. The cheap ones are $150. The cheap ones only hold 30 -50 lbs of bran, while mine holds 100 lbs. I can easily adapt it to a larger drum and hold more. I figure I can build these around $115 just buying the parts from a regular store. If I can get parts wholesale, then I could build it cheaper. I would like to sell them for around $200.

I am very interested in building an automatic rice bran feeder liok you have posted. Very innovative ! It appears to work great in the youtube video. How much would it cost for you to supply me a materials list ? ie.. motor, auger, etc..
Thanks a bunch ! |
