I hate to sound crazy but have you tried NAPA or Home Depot. They do sell plastic type rivets. Well they do in my area and I live in no wheresville. They are not quite like original but they can work.

If you want original type fasteners there are others on the board here who have purchased a bulk and they might speak up.

Lowes has a good selection.Try an Auto-Body supplier,or a company called Au-Ve-Co.They specialize in that stuff. We have a supplier near us that carries their line, and they have everything individual, and can sell you any quantity you want.Hope this helps.

I'm wondering if what you're looking for is a POM rivet, plastic removable rivets available in different sizes. They do require an installation gun, but they're not expensive for the "home shop" quality. Harbor Freight stocks them. Hope I helped.
