Default rear seat foot plate ideas

So i have a standard rear seat with diamond plate black foot plate on the back of my 04 EZGO txt.
I need to come up with a slick way of pulling that 12" or so plate up and flat on the back of the cart to make more space in my trailer.
Any ideas? I still want to maintain the integrity of structure if possibly obviously.

Cool Re: rear seat foot plate ideas

I would take it off and make it like a reece hitch. Slip it in and out when needed!
What about the handrails?
U could redo them also so that they stop at the back of the cart instead of in the middle of the step.

watched install video for your cart .. had a cold one ... see no way to fold it .. but ...
i did see a way ...if you remove 4 bolts you can remove entire rear set assembly and stow it
i will stop at my friends and measure seat and let you know if it will fit in front
if not maybe on roof or in front of cart
here are the 4 bolts you can remove (used flip seat pic to see bolts better)

i'd like to avoid unbolting the whole thing. i like the idea of ending the side rails early too. i could hinge the angle supports i suppose.

i got ya !!! so cut side rails back to seat edge and hinge support to fold it up ...

then you could use cable to hold it up .. then just fold it when needed

I made mine removable because it hits my tailgate when it is in the bed of my truck. I would have lifted it more to clear but then it would not fit in my garage. It is locked in using pins kind of like a hitch.

see now thats what i like. solid reciever type attachment. I'm going to start disassembly soon after my next race i think, too lazy to unload the cart now. I'm also going to work on snow plow mount, i have the plow of my ATV and i'm selling the ATV so i want to be able to use the cart to plow but i don't like spending $300 on a mount when i can make one :) ezgo TXT if you have any more ideas
