Angry Rustoleum sandable cracking

Started priming my daughters g2 tonight using rustoleum sandable primer and it is really cracked in several spots. It has previously been painted so I didn't go with plastic primer. Should I?? I'm really confused. White primer

Steps-

Sanded
Blocked
Washed hot water and dawn
Primed

SOMEBODY HELP!!!

I just painted my CC with these guys help through posts...did you use wax and grease remover prior to painting...also I used adhesion promotor just as an extra step even though mine had already been painted. I'm sure someone with way more experience will chime in here soon to help! good luck

Just painted some chrome wheels on my voyager trike kit. I thought i had cleaned them really good, one of them started cracking and alittle blistering. Used eitching primer, and probably didn't wait enough between coats. Plus humidity might had something to do with it. Just saying you have to take all of that into consideration when painting. Hope this helps alittle? GL.

Hey thanks guys. I'm just gonna take it back down and clean better with wax remover, BUT, a cottonmouth had his way with my shin last month and I went to wound care today and came home with a leg cast. I'm gonna try to get in the shop tomorrow!!

sounds like you went a little heavy on your coats of paint always better to do light coats of paint rather than going heavy ...when you put heavy coats on you are breaking down the previous coatings ....
