bullet resistance cart ideas
Seen a security guard with a gun riding in a golf cart. So I got to pondering unlike police who get in a shoot out and have a big engine to hide behind, what would the guard do? Or in a SHTF scenario like a friend talked about. How would you make a golf cart bullet resistant? Use lexan for a windshield? Use plates in. The front panel? What would your ideas be?

Re: bullet resistance cart ideas
Hey, a mini Tumbler !!! I want one of the real ones !!
Oh yeah, bullets.. All depends on caliber but some of that steel plate used to make street signs does a pretty good job at a little distance. For something to see through I had someone tell me that some of the newer vehicles with the curved side windows will also deflect a bullet. I know someone tried to break into my friends 99 F150 by beating the pass side window with a pretty good sized rock and scratched it but it did not break |

It's a 9 hp motor. I'd be more concerned about a pursuit situation than a gun fight.
Maybe we should ask a motorcycle cop? Or better yet, the mounted patrols......... |

Re: bullet resistance cart ideas
If the security guard is a good shot... all he'd need is 1 shot per target! so, there's no need to fortify the cart,
That is... if I were that security guard! |

Re: bullet resistance cart ideas
I like Lockman's plan, but if the security gaurd is a bad shot, maybe he/she should find another job?
