Default Yamaha G2 roll cage

Ive been perusing all the threads and builds and have decided I want to build something a bit different. Id like it to be an actual roll cage and it has to be solid.

1 1/4" schedule 40 pipe

Unlike most other rolls cages ive seen I want mine on the outside of the cart so if it ever does roll itll protect the cart and the riders

This is it for today.

I plan to tie into the front chassis where the suspension attaches, wrap around the front end and go up and over from there.

The rear end will also be receiving some attention.

I'll be following this for ideas. I'm also wanting to put a cage on my G9.

I've checked out http://xtremecartz.fatcow.com/157923.html for inspiration... and i've taken some ideas from there, like grab handles and the rear seat with grab handles..
but i noticed everyone attaches the front of their roll bar to that little flimsy bracket that holds up the front cowl.. im going straight to the chassis in 3 spots per side....
my only concern is the weight... but with the vtwin i've got going in it should be ok.. hopefully.

Here's a couple ideas how I built mine, it attaches the frame 10 points.

The 90's were purchased from the steel yard. They are schedule 40 90's
I'm going to purchase a pipe bender today to be able to get a more rounded effect, the 90's give it too much of a chiseled look...

Yamaha razor seats! Score!

uploadfromtaptalk1388251840509.jpg

They are just sitting on top of the original bench. . Install them last as to not damage them during the welding and engine install process

uploadfromtaptalk1388251899598.jpg

And the rear seats

uploadfromtaptalk1388251933201.jpg

Good thing I got them now so I can fabricate the roll cage around them
