Default Ford Falcon

I need a 1960 to 1963 Ford Falcon Futura body, 2 door, rather have Hard Top but will look at a post car, I don't care about the floor pans just not alot of rust on the body. Don't need any running gear, would like for it to be a roller but not nessessary.

Well, I bought one last Sunday, 1962 2 door, very good shape, still has the 6 and auto in it, interior completely removed but I didn't need that anyway and all body work finished/in primer. So the Altered will some day be merged into the Falcon. This is very close to what I plan on building.

Is it going to be just a racer or a pro street driver? Looks like a cool project to me

Dave, I want something I can drive when I want to, the Altered you have to load it in the trailer, take it to the track, wait on 100 rice cars to make passes, I get to maybe make 2-3 passes and have spent all day to do it, then bring it home unload it back in the shop and wait for the next time I can get time to go through that process all over again, a Street Car get in it and drive to the store, Old Town and show it, anywhere I want anytime. I should have built a street car to begin with. Thanks to everyone that kept an eye out for me.

Rifter, you gonna have the exhaust come out behind the front wheel like the one pictured? That looks sick.

I don't think I can get it quiet enough for that. I'm going to have to modify these or buy another set of Headers anyway. Fender exhaust is a real cool look, that's mostly Turbo cars though.

As much as I'd hate to see you dismantle the Altered, that "lightweight" Ford would make a killer street/race/show car! I know you could use the engine and tranny, will the Ford 9" fit inside the 1/4 panels and are you back halfing and tubing?

The plan is to cut the whole bottom out of the car, cut the Altered to the correct length and width, add frame extensions on each side/front/rear to tie in the body. I may have to narrow the rear axle again but Moser will cut and respline the axles, add a full cage, tubs, and all the rest of the interior sheet metal to make it a 2 seat Pro Street Car. Not much work if you say it fast...ha! These pics are the same body I have and almost the same look and color I'm going for.

I was going to ask about using the Altered's frame, but sounded like alot of work. Plus you HAVE to have 2 seats....your wife needs one too That is going to be one KILLER ride!
