Default "Gasser style" front axle

Wondering if anyone has built or seen a cart with an old school gasser-style straight front axle with leaf springs?

All the snow and cold from this winter has me thinking of really weird things to do with the old G1 cart!

Maybe you could modify something off of a large riding mower to work? Maybe with some small trailer leaf springs?

the first thing I could think of is the people that put to Suzuki samurai axles underneath. they usually put four links in not leaf springs

I still haven't given up on this idea, I'm looking at the ezgo front axle and wondering about width and steering hookups. I could add a small set of thin leaf springs to finish the "gasser" look.

Anyone know if the width would be similiar to an '84 G1, would my rims and tires fit?

Both "rear steer", I think it would be doable if you made leaf spring mounts on the rearward side.

Gaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Picked up a front axle from an ez-go, but not sure of the year. Should have looked at it closer than I did, when I got home and started to clean it up I found this. Looks like someone already tried to weld it once, can I just clean it up and have it welded again?
