Default Vinyl wrap a DIY job ?

I'm debating doing a vinyl wrap and installing attempting it myself. I liked to consider myself pretty handy but have limited experience with vinyl work. The front cowl of my Yamaha G22 looks straight forward, but the rear section looks to be challenging. Anyone have info on doing the rear section in regards to how many pieces, seams, overlaps, etc.

Also anyone have pics of how their job turned out.

I already saw that but looking for feedback from people who aren't professionals in that area to say how hard it was for an average Joe or if I should just paint. The body has some imperfections that I think may benefit from the vinyl vs paint.

Local vinyl shop gave me an estimate of $300 for a single color wrap.

I vinyl wrapped a project truck and it was really pretty easy. You can buy the wrap that is permanent or removable. Pay the extra and get the removable stuff. It makes it easier to apply and after 48 hours it becomes permanent. The cheaper stuff is permanent as soon as you touch it to whatever you are putting it on

300 for the wrap? Does that include the vinyl? If so that's a good deal. You shouldn't us any seams. It should all be done it one piece. I'm going to be wrapping my cart with a white pearl carbon fiber vinyl.

I did the cart below with 5 4ft by 2ft sheets from EverythingCarts.com. Did it in an afternoon and 2 years later it still looks great.

So I just looked at the back section.....haven't measured but there may not be a choice but to seam it. In either case 300 is a good price

I wrapped mine in about 6 hrs total. I think it was pretty easy for what it is. Looks great to I think for never having done one before and I know I couldn't have painted it for that plus I did it myself.
Is it perfect heck no but it's a lot better than before.
The backsides are one peice then the peice under the seat and then the front cowl with both sides peiced in to it.

The front cowl took the longes to do because it was done off the cart and it was a bear to do trying to hold the cowl and strecthing the vinyl all at one time.
