Golf cart lift aluminum
Hi I'm tig welding my g16 golf cart lift . The cart is going to have a 18 in h lift I have done this in the past with 1/4 Steel and found that it is extremely heavy. I'm making the same lift out of aluminum 1/4 and it's most leg tig weld assembly I am gusseting it to make it as strong as possible but. Inverness that constant abuse might break the welds any input would be apreatiated

Re: Golf cart lift aluminum
I would run diagonal supports, kinda like ladder-bars from the suspension assy, back toward the center of the cart to help resist rocking and twisting. Are you just building a drop mount,or is it a long travel? The long travel would be easier, shocks would be the financial killer on that setup.Hope this helps.
