Club Car DS Full Speed Problem
My Club Car DS is Lifted and it is a 36v year 94 and sometimes feels like it is cutting out when it gets up to full speed. And the batteries are brand new and the charge doesn't seem to last long, what should I do. They are Trojan brand.

New batteries are only about 75% capacity until broke in. Read here > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Batter...n_Methods.html
Check your throttle signal range with an ohmΩ meter, post it here. |

Re: Club Car DS Full Speed Problem
Where should I Check? It only does it sometimes it feels like the motor just looses all voltage when I go up hill. But then It will come back it is like it sparks or something, but not up all of the hills, only sometimes when I take off.

Re: Club Car DS Full Speed Problem
Is it a 94 resistor cart or a 94 controller cart? They made both. Resistor cart will have a bank of coils behind the batteries, a controller cart will have a rectangular box under the body behing the passenger's butt.

Re: Club Car DS Full Speed Problem
Disconnect the 2 small wires from controller pin #2 & 3
Set the meter function to ohms (Ω) 20,000 range. Plug your meter test leads into the spade connectors and check the throttle signal throughout the pedal travel... It should be 0-5000 +/- a couple hundred. Yours is a converted V-glide = multistep potentiometer. The signal will jump up in blocks or steps but, it should hold fairly steady at full throttle. If it is steady then the motor may be your problem. |
