95 CC value, like to build hunting cart
Looking to build a hunting cart, no mountains, but need torque. Also want to use around the neighborhood. Considering a cart I have found on CL. it is a 1995 CC 48 volt. Thinking DS. According to his ad it needs wiring harness to computer has new computer it's a 48 volt battery's are 2 years old. He's asking 650. I don't think it currently runs. I don't mind working on it. It has a lift and offroad tires already. Never had a cart. Would like to have under 2k total in it. Think that is possible and how much should I offer? Worst case new motor, controller and solenoid? cost? Think he's had it listed for a few months so I'm thinking I can get it for less, maybe 400. Thoughts? What do I need to ask him?

Good luck I tried to buy this cart and guy was a smart azz. He doesn't know what's wrong and all he says is the computer wiring adaptor is missing I tried to find one before buying the cart and couldn't find one listed anywhere. I later found a 99 stock ds on CL for 400 and paid 150 for it its a 48 volt so good luck and keep us posted

Re: 95 CC value, like to build hunting cart
Ok thanks for the heads up. I'll let you know. Would a DS be a good start for this type of build or should I be looking for a precedent? Friends say that is the easy to go but they're much higher around here. Found some just coming off a golf course, but they want 1750, batteries are 4 years old. By the time I get it right I'll have close to 3k in one, really trying to be under 2.
