The cart will not free wheel. I can't push it while the lever is in neutral. There is no tow/run switch. I have it jacked up and I can turn the left rear wheel and the right side spins in the opposite direction.

Im with ya mrgolf but not true per my experience. My cart rolled but the motor test made cables get real hot took it apart and bearing was rusted and seized. Dragging a 1000lb or so cart can force rotation but the electrical force not so. Not arguing just my experience. Try the motor test and hope the lugs dont twist off.

So....as an update. After speaking with a couple other folks with more knowledge than me, it was the motor. Of course the lugs twisted off during removal and the motor was so rusted internally I had to partially disassemble it to get it off the axle because the spline was dry and rusty too. However, I found someone with a used original motor that I should receive in a couple days.

Thanks for your help and I'm sure I'll have more questions.
