Default 2009 Club Car DS stops at times

I have a 2009 Club Car AQ0903 with 3 month old batteries and cables that are like new. Occasionally it will stop while I am driving it or it will fail to start after stopping. After a few minutes it may start working perfect again.

When it is not working I hear a click when I turn the key on but it will not go. Sometimes I push the go pedal down real slow and it will give a small jerk then stop. After several tries it may start working perfectly again. It may work perfect for several days then act up again.

What could cause such a problem?

You shouldn't be hearing a click when you turn on the key unless you're referring to the small brake light relay behind the dash. In this case, that's normal. Your symptoms sound like you may have a bad MCOR (Motor Controller Output Regulator). It's the small black box mounted on the outside of the passenger side I-Beam under the floormat.

Today I finally bought a used MCOR from a man who junked a Club Car with a bad motor.

I changed it and the Cart will still not run. Now I wonder if the MCOR I bought is bad or if it is something else.

Unplug the MCOR and put a jumper on the Two-Pin plug and see if it'll run. Leave the Three-Pin plug in the MCOR.

I unplugged the 2 wire terminal and jumped it out and it runs. I presume this means the switch inside the MCOR is bad and I need to replace the MCOR.

The next question is which one to buy. I see two different ones advertised for my cart.

Do I buy the 103327901 or the 102101101?

Neither. You need AM293101

I ordered a new AM293101 and am waiting for its delivery.

Isn't the AM293101 a new replacement assembly for the 102101101?
I also saw some 102101101s (old stock?) for sale.

Is the AM293101 better than the old one?

Also, Thank You very much for the help you have given me.

AM293101 is the kit to convert your cart to an MCOR 4. 102101101 is the original MCOR that came on the DS

I have a 2002 DS 48v and it is doing the same thing. It runs great and then falls on its face and will not run until I switch it from forward to reverse and then back to forward and away we go for a couple of feet or for a couple of days. Is this something I can clean to fix?
