need for speed 48V CC
my 01 48V CC runs fine and seems to have plenty of torque. My problem is speed. I have no enhancements as far as upgrades, completly stock, but out on the course I get smoked from the tee box by freinds cart's and the course carts.Already checked and load checked batteries and it seems to hold up easily to even 27 holes of golf.I just get out run (guessing) 3 to 7 MPH. Any suggestions out there?TIA

I've got a 36v 3.5hp 3000rpm in my '99 48v CC and get 17mph

Is this a IQ cart ?
If yes have you had the speed program checked ? It sounds like it may be running in speed mode 2. Speed mode 3 is quite a bit Faster, and your local CC service Rep. can change this without buying any CC license . Speed Mode 4 is even Faster but requires that you buy the License from CC. The IQ carts have a rocker switch for F & R, on the bottom of the switch bezel there will be what looks like a headphone jack.. This jack is where you plug in the programmer to change controller settings.. Non IQ carts won't have the programming plug on the bezel, and series carts will have a shift lever instead of a rocker switch..

No such luck!
 Mine has a big shift handle and no port. Anyone know how to tell exactly what I have and suggestions on more speed? |

If your cart has the shift lever, it's a series cart.. To get more speed will more than likely require a motor rework/replacement.. Depending on the amount of performance increase you seek, it may also involve upgrading the controller too..
The good side is, series systems are simpler to upgrade & maintain than the shunt (IQ, Regen) systems.. IMHO... |

Is there some place I can find out what I have? I have the serial #.Is there some place like in the automotive world where you plug in vin # & it give you all the options?
