There's never a point when you're truly "done" with a cart build.

New bearings, races, and seals in the hubs of my Grandpa's cart today.

That socket in the hub is a 35mm socket for GM CV axle nuts, its OD is just a hair under the hub's ID, works perfectly as a tool to install the race evenly. Punch is for knocking the old races out. The bearing packer is also handy, one of the best purchases I ever made back when I first got into mechanicing.

In this pic here the sun (lighting) is on the backside of the cart. It should be on the front side facing the viewer.
Try this one Scotty

I love the look of that cart Hook.

Tore the carburetor completely apart and cleaned then reassembled on Grandpa's cart and blew out the vent line. Along with the new fuel pump last Summer, hopefully it'll solve the gas in the oil issue I've been having.

Thanks! I used CRC Throttle Body and Intake cleaner (I've found it a little more "potent" than some carb cleaners), a nylon wire brush to scrub and loosen the exterior dirt, and the blowgun on the air compressor. I think the protective layer of gunk I took off was what kept it so shiny underneath.

Guys I hope I am posting this in the right spot but I installed the speed magnet and fully charged batteries and got 19 mph. The batteries are brand new Trojans. Do the batteries need a break in?

Yes, a link to the process has been posted on several threads but I'm sure one of the forum experts have it handy to give you. I barely fumble through this stuff.

Larry-in the Sticky "Everything to with batteries" (at the top of this section) cheepjeep2 in post #5 has a PDF that has everything you're looking for and then some.
