98 club car V-Glide

I bought it with a burnt up V-Glide. I replaced it and went maybe 500 yards and it burnt up again. I called a club car repair shop and they said it burnt up because it's lifted. I would like your opinions! Is it burning up because its lifted or is there another problem? Thanks for your help!!!

Carts with V-glides can be 36 or 48v. The 36v models run high amperage through the V glide to the motor. This system works okay until the motor amperage draw is increased. Increased amperage flow can quickly lead to additional or excessive heat.
Anything that causes the motor work to work harder will cause the motor to draw additional amperage to match the load.

We have solid state conversion kits to modernize these carts and fix the problems associated with 36v Vglides.

Thanks for the help. I think the tire size I have is 22x11.00-10nhs and it is a 36v. Where can I get a solid state conversion kit to modernize my cart?

Lifting a 36v resistor cart is most likely your issue here. When you lift this type of cart, the large tires and wheels will create a bigger strain on the motor, and creating a bigger amperage flow through all of your components. Thus, the V-Glide melted.
