Default Really slow Club Car DS

Hello!

Brand new to the golf cart world. I purchased a used Club Car DS (2000 model) about 6 weeks ago. It is extremely slow, which I knew before I bought it .. Got it for a steal.

I thought charging it would do the trick, but it has not. Could it be batteries? Or is there something more?

Any help is appreciated before I spend 6-800 on new batteries.

Thanks!

Like above check your voltage. If the voltage is good try the solenoid. I bought new batteries for my 1999 DS and it was still slow so I changed the solenoid and BAM!!! off I went.

I needed new batteries anyways. Got mine at Sams Club

Good luck!

DK,

What batteries did you get?

And was the solenoid an easy replacement?

Thanks in advance.

Your car probably has the sweeper arm throttle control (pie shaped enclosure between batteries 4 and 5). If so remove its cover and make sure that the arm reaches the last copper segment when the pedal is pressed to the floor.
