Default 2007 CC Precedent 48 V won't go

When trying to go the solenoid clicks closed but then something causes it to open for a split second and cart stalls (In forward and in reverse). I have checked the following - Key off power to both sides of the solenoid even after removing precharge resistor. My first thought was a faulty solenoid but am confused as to what would drop the solenoid out. After letting the foot off the pedal you can here the solenoid close again

. . . first start tugging/wiggling wires, including the keyswitch . . . one loose one in wrong place can cause this . . .

how are your batteries. maybe the load of the motor is too much for the batteries. causing the voltage to drop and then the solenoid to cut out
