Default undercoat

What do you guys think about using some kind of undercoat on our aluminum frames. I was actually thinking bedliner. It should help protect it from elements and battery acid.

I have heard of guys using bedliner for the battery trays...
I have never personally done it, but I have heard it works well

I did bed liner on my battery tray and seems to hold up fine
