Quit running
Drove over to the storage box across the yard. Everything working perfectly. Got what I needed and Drove off then got about 10 feet and it went dead in the water, made popping noise and quit very suddenly. If it was my pick up I would say the drive shaft u-joint broke. Now the only thing working is the back up alarm.Electric motor dead as a door nail. This is a Club Car 48V. Checked the wires going to motor posts and they look tight and not corroded. Any suggestions as where to look next. Thanks

Re: Quit running
Serial number of cart will help. Just above go pedal under dash.
Pull hard on all battery cables. Check voltage. If it has tow/run switch, put in tow before working around batteries. |

Re: Quit running
It sounds to me like you stalled the motor. What was it that you went across the yard to get? I hope it wasn't big and heavy.

Re: Quit running
I had a CC and one time the connection below the accelerator pedal came loose. It was dead in the water like you said until I reconnected it again. That was after I ran over something.

Re: Quit running
Sorry it took so long to get back. Been real hectic lately! Mr. Golf got it exactly right! Battery cable went bad. Replaced all the cables and every thing is good again. Out of the dog house, she still looks worried if I step too close to her machine. Thanks everyone!

Re: Quit running
You may be telling someone else to check their battery cables sometime in the future that is how I found out.
