Default motor magnet

My friend bought a copper head high speed motor for his 2010 club car and I want to buy one also but when he lets off the throttle his cart comes to a fast stop with just compression only and he does not have to step on the brake peddle at all. I was told if I buy this motor that if I buy a magnet for the motor that this will stop the compression stopping and I can then use the brake peddle for my stopping. Is this true and if not, what is the magnet good for.

Need to know more about the vehicles before answering this question. What drive system does your friend have? What drive system do you have? The serial number for both vehicles will help me answer this question. I know the answer to your question, but I'm not gonna answer it until I know what I'm answering. Get me some more information and I'll be glad to help.

This is another upsetting thing that we both face. We both bought our reconditioned carts from the same guy and all the vin stickers have been removed and the guy says they are 2011 club car presidents but I really do not think they are because of all the things that have been repaired already. I still wish we could get some advice, thanks

Remove the floormat and remove the cover to the access area. There should be another serial number sticker on the frame rail in the access area

serial number is PGM10017883 I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS NUMBER IS FOR THE CART OT THE PART THAT IT IS ON? I hope these pictures came thru for you. I can not take the cover off to see if there is another serial number of if this is the number. Someone added 3 screws to one side to hold down the plate and the other side screws are rusted on.

That is not the serial number. You already took off the cover I was talking about. Look inside the area outlined in red, there should be the serial number sticker in there somewhere

OK Dave, under that cover is full of 1 inch squares One square has the numbers 1025008---another square has a triangle with the number 5 in the center of it and the letters PP under the triangle---another sguare has a arrow pointing at the number 4---another square has an arrow pointing to 08---- another square has an arrow pointing between the number 25 and the number 1, I sure hopes this helps because I really checked and cleaned the back of cover to see any other numbers but there are no more.
