Default New member ??'s on battery life and deal for a 2011 CC Presedent

I am looking to purchase a 2011 CC Precedent fleet resale. It has late 2013 batteries. Will receive a mechanical once over and is from a CC dealer. Is the battery life on a fleet cart any different from normal use? Can I still expect another 2 to 3 years on the late 2013 batteries? The price is just under $3000 and just want to be sure its a good deal and I wont need to replace the batteries immediately. Any help is appreciated. I have reviewed a lot of threads and plan on at least bringing a meter to test the batteries and total voltage across the pack. Thanks.

Fleet time is like dog years for a battery, I would guess 3 years top.
You can just look at the serial number of the cart to have an approximate idea when the original batteries were installed, and you know when they were replaced by looking at the date stamp on the current batteries.
That will tell you how long the original batteries lasted.

I would try to split the cost with the dealer and negotiate new batteries, You will have a lot more enjoyment out of your investment.

Just a thought. If it's a 2011 and had its batteries replaced in 2013 what does that tell you? To me it says 2 years life for fleet batteries.

also fleet carts are usually beat up. I know they are at the golf course I am a member at. People take them over curbs and bang into things. there have even been a few flipped carts and one in a lake. I personally have avoided purchasing fleet carts, but around here that is easy with the amount of personal carts. Other places fleet carts are easier to find but it would have to be a really good deal to buy one.

I was told by a local dealer that virtually every cart w/o lights is or was a fleet cart. Like automobiles, dealers rarely get stripped base models.

Fleet carts are like rental cars. They are used by all sorts of folks and some of them will abuse them just for fun.

My comment was related to batteries only, even being very generous, with the golf courses changing their fleets every few years, I would imagine that more than 95% of the carts in the market likely came from a golf course.

Mine did and it is fine.

Understood and I thank you for your responses. I really appreciate your knowledge and opinions. I am not that concerned with the idea of a couple year old fleet cart and understand what I am getting and why. I will due my best to ensure I look things over before I purchase and will hope for the best. If the cart I am presently looking at is not the one I will continue my search.
