That would have been a good piece of information in the first post, it definitely sounds like a bad key switch, specially if You have your battery meter plugged there.

Sorry, I tried to explain it as well as possible but there seemed to be so many variables. I can replace the key switch and take it from there. I just didn't know if that were something that occasionally occurred.

The keyswitch, or loose connection at the keyswitch green wire, is the best explanation for all of the symptoms. Do you have any other load connected to the key switch?

No other load I know of. There are no extra electrical draws on the cart yet. I have some LED floods on order but I will power them with a separate 12 volt battery and wiring as well as a 12 volt outlet I will install. I checked the connections at the switch. Although the screws were all tight and all the wires secure it the wire ends there was one connection the whole little lug turned a bit in the body of the switch. I'm sure the cost for one will be considerably less than a mcor or controller so I figure that's an inexpensive start. I thought maybe a short but the wiring looks to be in good condition as well. This is what my switch looks like.

It looks like that post may have separated from the contact inside, time for a new switch. You can get them from a site sponsor as well.

A separate 12v battery works fine and you can always add a 48v relay to turn all the accessories on/off with key switch.

Merry Christmas!

While you are waiting on your switch, you can connect all the wires to one lug. If everything works good you know for sure it is the switch. You can switch to TOW when cart is not in use while doing this. Just though I would bring this up.

Thanx, I appreciate the tip. I will hit the shop, well I was going to say tomorrow, but hey, it is already.

Well I went to our local Club Car dealership today. Fortunately I found that one of the supervisors in service is an old friend. I think I will just drop it with him and let him chase it down.

Well they say my mcor is bad and they want $131 to replace it with an mcor4 conversion kit plus $75 labor. How difficult a job is this and can someone who has a tad bit of mechanical ability do this without screwing up something electrical, shorting out the new part or costing himself more money in the long run than the $75 in labor?
