You can do it yourself. It is 2 screws and 2 plugs. It is very easy to do

I looked at it the other day. It didn't seem like rocket science. Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't cost me two $131 mcor units and maybe a controller if I screwed it up.

Just put cart in TOW before working on it and you are not likely to hurt anything.

Will do. I will pick it, and the part, up it the morning. I have some welding left to do on the mount for my road feeder but I think I can get that and the LED lights installed before the weekend. Then I have a four day camping trip with my scout troop.

Good luck, but while you are there, ask them how they think the MCOR is making your battery meter go off???

You may also have a bad MCOR switch, but there is no way it is causing the battery meter to go dark.

A bad connection on the Key switch, Tow/Run switch or even the drop out harness would cause both the battery meter to go off and the MCOR to drop out.

I really can't recall the details, but wasn't one of the harnesses for DS's supposed to have a "welded inline diode" or something buried somewhere along the harness, that was subject to moisture/corrosion at that connection?

Yes, that was on the IQ cars. It is in the back half of the harness near the controller in the wire loom. Most likely not the problem, but worth looking at

His diode would be in the drop-out harness.

Well their answer was the short out in the mcor was interrupting the power supply to the controls including that so . . .
I installed the new one and drove it around on the streets here at the house. It didn't have any issues. I guess I will know for sure later this week when I get it down to the lease and drive it around there. But the next couple of days I'm going to get the Rigid LED Dually lights, fender flares and the road feeder installed. I have to see if I can find a gel cell 12v battery here locally to power the accessories and get the wiring for that done as well. I'm going to fabricate a front basket using the bracket for the road feeder as support. But that may be a summer project.
