2006 Precident won't run
Drove to hunting location, turned key off and went hunting.
Got back to cart, turned key on, and once solenoid clicked, cart jumped then quit (about 1/2 tire rotation). Tried again and the same thing happened. It'll do this in forward or reverse. Put charger on, then tried again, but same thing happened. All battery connections appear tight. It really wants to go, and will jump like batteries are hot. Help please! The rut has started today!! |

My guess, controller. I may be wrong. When mine went out it would try to go but just could not get up.

Messed with it a little more today. You can push down on accelerator and it will roll then stop. Keep pedal depressed and cart will keep doing this. Roll a little, then stop.
Does it in forward and reverse. |

Re: 2006 Precident won't run
Hope others will help here. Another thing might be solenoid dropping out. You could test it by hooking both big wires to same post. Be sure to put cart in tow before working with batteries etc.

Re: 2006 Precident won't run
Jump the two wires at your MCOR under the floor board and try it then. Most likely your micro switch in the MCOR. Just replaced mine on my 06 Precedent. If that doesn't do the trick look at this chart.
There are two plugs, one with 2 wires, the micro switch, and one with 3 wires for the POT. The top should be the two wire plug which can be unplugged and using a paper clip to complete the connection you'll find out soon enough if that is the problem. |

Re: 2006 Precident won't run
Just changed MCOR a few months ago, and still have old one. It was jerking when pedal barely depressed. I can swap em out and try.
Thanks |

Re: 2006 Precident won't run
Brought to cart doctor. Says it's the motor.
So I have a cart with lift kit, and over-sized tires. I hunt in hilly terrain, and want to be able to haul people on back, or deer. I have a 500 amp alltrax controller on buggy now. What kind of motor upgrade do I want? |

Re: 2006 Precident won't run
I'm more concerned with power/torque over speed.
