Brake pushing back at me?
So I just lifted my 2011 club car precedent with a Jakes 6" double a-arm kit. I had a mechanic do the speed code 4, and he told me to adjust the brakes to get better brake pressure on the pedal (you had to push down far to get them to engage). So I went under the floor mat and adjusted the wire to get the brake pedal to a appropriate spot. Now when I drive the cart the brakes LITERALY push back on my foot. As I press the brake pedal starts shaking and pushes back while I push. It also is very inconsistent with the braking. Sometimes it stops quick and sometimes it does not. I don't know if this is part of "regen braking" or what. All I know is something is wrong. Also the driver side brake line is pretty tight in comparison to the passenger side. Please help

Re: Brake pushing back at me?
Also I forgot to mention, even if I tighten or loosen the brake cable, the pedal still violently pushes back at me.

Re: Brake pushing back at me?
It is a common issue on the lifted Precedents for the driver's side brake cable to be way tighter than the passenger's side. It is recommended that a passenger side cable be put on the driver side

Another thing that might be of concern is "axle twist" if your using the stock leaf springs, THAT would push your pedal back at you after installing a lift! |

Re: Brake pushing back at me?
Thanks for all the help! Tightened the U bolts in the rear for axle twist and it seems to be better but after feeling the brake likes I definetly need a new drivers side

Re: Brake pushing back at me?
After having 2 different sets of heavy duty rear springs on my cart, I won't go there again! (really a stiff ride)
These "add-a-leafs" should help with your axle twist/pedal pushing back at you without affecting your ride! Click on the link >>>> http://www.cartpartsplus.com/add-a-l...add%20a%20leaf |
