Club Car_All 5 solenoids Click_No movement
My daughter was driving a 1982 Club Car DS that we had recently got. She said it kept slowing down, then she would push the brake and stop, and the cart would go full speed again. Then, the last time when she stopped it would not do anything and she had to push it back to the house.
If you put in in FWD or REV all 5 solenoids are clicking. I tested continuity across both sides of the solenoids and they all show continuity. How do I go about testing the motor? I notice there is one set of battery cables going from the batteries to the motor and one set of cables from the last solenoid to the motor. Where and how much voltage should I pickup where the cables meet the motor to ensure the correct voltage is getting to the motor? This is a 36v, 1982 Club Car DS with brand new batteries and cables. |

New batteries come with a surface charge. They need a good full charge before use. I'm sure you've charged the batteries now. What are the voltage readings. You can sometimes get a bad new battery.

I just tested all the batteries and they all show about 6.38 v each.
