Alltrax - only getting 17-19mph
Precedent 2004 IQ 48V
Old set up PQ bandit stock everything with 4G cables Was getting 23-24mph New set up PQ Bandit Alltrax DCX 400 controller 200/800A solenoid New MCOR 4G cables Brand new US batteries date coded Nov (51.6V full static, 45.5V load on steep hill) Top speed 17-19mph unless I go on a slight down hill then it goes faster - up to 24mph Tried various curves and set ups on controller nothing gets top speed up even clicking on turbo - all that causes is like a car engine missing effect like a bad spark plug and anyway PQ don't recommend it. Neighbor has exact same set up and gets 25 mph regularly. Flies part me Any ideas? I'm going to switch out the Alltrax and sell it if this can't be fixed |

Re: Alltrax - only getting 17-19mph
I could be the motor? My stock motor gives 22.5 mph with the Alltrax control in my precedent.

Re: Alltrax - only getting 17-19mph
One easy way to test would be stick the stock controller back on and see if the speed comes back.

Did you have any issues stabbing that motor? Is it turning easily? Talk to PQ, they may need to rework it.

The challenge here is determining the cause with so many new things all at once. Always determine battery power is up to snuff when investigating a performance issue. Use a voltmeter to determine the lowest pack voltage under load. This will give us some indication of battery health. What batteries are you running? How many times have you recharged them? What is a full charge reading 12 hours after charging? |
