Runs then just stops

]Hi All
i have a 1992 Electric Club Car 36V that will stop or lose power while in forward and reverse. things i have done to fix are, check and clean batterys and load test OK , removed forward and reverse switch cleaned and checked micrco switches OK, cleaned and ckecked micro switch in V-glide OK, replaced silenoid with new, cleaned ALL terminal conectors from motor, controler,forward & reverse, to v-glide All checks out Ok but it will still stop or lose power. controller is my last resort

ez rider 95

does the cart pick up power again while you are still moving or some times nothing then takeoff. mine acted same way I had a broken lead on one of the carbon brushes in the electric motor

thanks for your reply how do you check for carbon brush leads broken ?

I took a hammer and lightly tapped on brush motor housing while accelerator was pushed and making sure nothing was in front of where I was going if cart moved

thanks ez rider i will give it a try i sure dont want to buy a controller at $450.00

you are right about that it may not work but it wont cost anything to find out other than a little time good luck

well ez rider, tapped,banged, schock, no help ? only thing i think it could be is the controller ? i found on line i can send my old controller in and have it rebuilt for $181.00 guess thats what i may do. thanks for your help no one else had any ideas

denny it could be the F&R switch itself going bad.....thats one thing they will do they will run ok than won,t than run than won,t.........dosn,t matter how good you clean it if its going bad it won,t any difference........................also check the cables goling to the switch i have seen this happen quite a few times because one of the cables from all the movement will slowly start falling apart and its hard to tell so look at them good.....................................

TOM thanks for helping me wires are very good I bent,shook and did a "condanuity" bad speller. test ok. but i dont know about the f&r switch i took it off and apart cleaned and put back on when hooked up with key on it klicks both forward and reverse I just dont know ?
