Back on the Road!!!!!!!!

I'm happy to report the cart fired up on the first try!

Readings.....

with 36v, 500amp Controller, 400/1000 Solenoid, Stock Motor
She ran 12MPH, (Meter on motor 35.6) I lugged up my 12V deep cycle off my boat, hooked it up in series, (meter 51.3) She ran 15MPH. (Meter on motor 47.6)

How are guys getting in the 20's with stock 48v's?

Does my controller need to be adjusted?

Thanks

Gwagon

Hello All!

Big update here!!!

Medium Springs are in.. I love them, a good all around spring.

On board Charger plug installed, for 12v Acc Batt

Fender Flares installed. Now she's lookin' like a buggy. lol

Huge rear LED taillights installed...found them on Amazon.

6" All Sports SS Lift Kit installed, This lift is Awesome!, takes corners and hills like a champ!

23X10.5X12 Octane Wheels, Predator tires

Steeleng Rear Flip Seat Installed...A Good Quality Seat!

I want to thank everyone who answered the million questions I had during this build. A great group of people on here. The first pics was the day I got her.

Gonna enjoy it for a little while, let my wallet cool down. Then continue my quest for LSV.

I will be posting some CC parts for sale on the "For Sale" soon

Thanks again,

Gwagon

SWEEET!

To answer your question earlier about getting into the 20 mph range on 48 volts, tire size is a huge deal, and also the SepEx carts can do a lot more given more amps than these series carts can. What MPH are you getting now on 36 volts with those tires?

This thread is brining back memories. Good ones! ...The day that box arrived I was at home during my lunch break. I dont think I thought about anything else for the rest of the day. Good luck on your build, looking forward to it.

While it is possible that your controller arrived "turned down" from the factory, it's a no-brainer to check. I believe you should have one set screw for max Amps and one for Throttle Ramp? Insert a small screw driver and before adjusting it pay attention to where it is in case you want to turn it back.

But I believe its more likely just a limitation of your stock motor like 93yellowclubcar already noted. CC made MANY different 36v motors stock depending on the cart - sounds like you have one of the smaller ones. My stock motor ran 17mph back when it was still a 36V resistor cart on 22" tires. a new motor will be huge for you ...a Rattlesnake II will be epic.
