Well...

Your going to need speakers!

One thing that I did notice that it wasn't a "marine" radio... (water resistant)
it will act just like your other radio, when it gets wet!

I do remember seeing a "Dual" brand marine radio,
with 4 speakers, in a boating magazine,. for about the same price!
something to consiter!

but if you've gotten it already... you'll have a red,(+12v) a yellow (+12v clock)
and a black negative... PLUS, your speaker connections...

I'd suggest keep shopping...
if I come up with the boating mag name, I'll let you know!
(only cause I'm ready for one myself!)

pretty much any radio will work. all you have to do id feed it 12v. a marine radio would be a better choice though. If it is in a box you could try a cover for the face plate.

tha being said I know many people at teh campground (me included) that have been using regular radio's for years with no problems. we just keep them dry!

make sure you ground the radio to a battery and not the frame or anywhere else...........all grounds must go to a battery unless you have the reducer hooked up with the grounding strip..................................

I was wanting to install a radio and or a VHF(when I get this project cart running)....but I decided against it simply concearned that battery life and range would be decreased even if I installed a simple AM/FM stereo with 2 speakers.
What effect have you guys seen ?
On another note...on boats we install 2 speakers, MP3 outlet,MP3 bracket, small amp and 12 volt acc plug(to keep MP3 player powered).
Has anyone tried this ?

A radio without a power amp is not a problem for the pack.

I am going to be running a marine deep cycle with a solar charger so it won't effect my run time
