You're right, I actually screwed up and posted these 'check it out' posts before I posted in the build thread...

Well I got them installed and a weekend of test out on them and have liked them so far. Ride is rough, but in a different way than the OEM springs. The steering was improved by not having the wheel yanked out of my hand by hitting rocks in the road. Or actually rocks that are the road. The ride though bouncey was not jarring and there was no rock and roll compared to the original springs. Haven't tried it with a load of feed or anything yet but I have put about 20+ miles on our lease "roads" with it thus far.

I might as well chime in....

I will only use H&J SPN-1008 springs 3-leaf pack. You can find them on ebay or other sites. I remove the two helper springs and only run the single leaf. It is way stiffer than stock but still has plenty of flex so it's not brittle like some. I then made my own 2" longer shackles. The stock shackles are 6" long end to end, these are 8" and give 1.5" of lift.

It's the perfect combo, stronger than stock, softer than heavy duty. The shackle gives just the right balance.

Maybe but I have the need to carry dead animals back to camp and feed out into the field so the extra leaf and the helper leaf are needed for those times.
