Default Need hill climbing power! controller or motor?

I have a 1998 48 volt DS with a Plum Quick Bandit motor in it and a stock controller with newer in the last year batteries. I have a 6" A-arm lift kit in it wiht a rear seat.
My cart is plenty fast but it just doesn't have any power to climb a hill that my stock 36 volt stock club car used to climb. It was himiliating to have me and my son on it get stuck half way up the hill and then have my friend take his ezgo with 3 adults on it just fly right by me.

My question is do I need to get a different motor to climb some hills to get out of my river flats to run around my property? Or can I change the controller to let me get more power to the motor? what are my options? Thanks
Chad

500 amp alltrax and 4 gauge wires should solve your problem.

How much am I talking? where should I order and what do I need to confirm that it will fit my cart? I know it was hard to find a stock controller when I was building my cart. should have bought a aftermarket in the first place.

"himiliating"
So you have a Club Car IQ? Then you are fighting an uphill battle (no pun intended)

IQ carts excel at speed - not torque. And you need torque to get over big obstacles. IQ systems will also run much hotter in high torque situations shortening the life of your components. Not saying it isn't possible with an IQ, but its the wrong drivetrain for what you are wanting to do. You need a series cart or AC cart for that. Now that we got the disclaimer out of the way, switching to the biggest aftermarket controller you can find and 2GA wires is going to make the biggest improvement in torque in your current situation.

I do remember CartsUnlimited was working on on a IQ to Series conversion package for this very thing. If this interests you give them a call and talk to Scotty. He wont steer you wrong, even if he doesn't sell it. I got the 700A FSIP controller for my series cart from them & 2GA cables - WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE. My 22" V-tread tires will spin long before I stall out.

He doesn't have an IQ. He has a 98 DS, which is most likely a Series

Found this from an earlier post. Most likely the same cart

Could be a Series, but most likely the PD Plus. Certainly not a resistor coil cart

I thought the Bandit motor was only for the IQ or Regen Clubbys?

Lets solve this once and for all. Chad does the Golf Cart have a Tow/Run switch under the seat?
