Just installed Scotty B's C54 conversion kit
The Mrs. bought a 89 club car DS from an elderly gentleman that was leaving our campground. This was basically going to be a 3rd cart for guest as she has a GEM car and I have a Yamaha Gas G22. She picked it up for 800 bucks and it ran well for 7 months. Then one of the terminals on the Vglide melted. I replaced the Vglide and the wires that go to the resisters. It ran great for about 4 days then the wiper arm on the Vglide started to almost melt. I was done with 1950's technology. I called Scotty B and told him what I want to do with the cart. I figured if I'm going to have more money in it than I can get out of it I might as well do it right. I am eventually going to add an A arm lift kit and tires and wheels and a jeep front end and possibly a D&D or PQ motor After talking to Scotty I decided on the C54 kit, heavy duty F/R switch, and an upgraded cable set which will let me change to 48 volts when I need new batteries. The kit arrived three days ago and everything appeared to be high quality. I have to say when it comes to customer service Scotty B is the man, he answered every stupid question I called him to ask. I got the kit installed this afternoon and wow what a difference! I put the rear body back on and took it for a test ride, smooth acceleration and I actually gained just over 2 miles an hour over the Vglide per GPS (even though I wasn't supposed to) With the Vglide it got 11mph per GPS. With solid state I got 13.6mph per GPS. I am an extremely happy customer! Thanks Scotty B! I cant wait to do the paint, lift, wheels and tires, and upgrade to 48 volts.

SWEET
Which throttle extension rod fit your year cart? The smaller one or the bigger size one? We send both with each kit. |

Re: Just installed Scotty B's C54 conversion kit
I was looking at those just this morning. Came the the same conclusion about never getting my $$$ back. I was looking at a clean 85 for $400.
It's not just the $$$ space is an issue also. but one of these day...... |
