Really Bad Corrosion
I am embarrased to say I havent pulled off the center cover in between my batteries in a couple years. I decided to pull my batteries out and clean everything and discovered hard build up all the way up to the electronics under the center cover. There was inches of rock hard corrosion, it started eating the aluminum center piece everything is mounted to. The heat sink on the back side of the controller is ate away on the lower 1-2inches, does that need to be replaced? Im in the process of tearing the cart down to the frame to make sure I get everything neutralized and cleaned properly.

Re: Really Bad Corrosion
Sounds like you've experienced years of overfilling your batteries with water. I wouldn't be too concerned with replacing the heatsink. It's not crucial for a vehicle with a factory controller. If you were to upgrade, then yes I'd put a new one on.
