look at f/r switch and at first glance it looked correct

then i followed cables and not colors




will rewire in the morning

learned .... never just look , always follow wires

The labels you wrote look right, so that is not where the wires go?




(#5 white cable is the resistor coil)

They are both correct, there is at least 4 different ways to wire the FNR and they all work.

I cannot see the bottom of your original picture, I assume there is no cable going to +18v right?

nope ... there are 2 cables going to 36v +
from tag i learned this is a 1984 made the first week of production .. (A8401-...)
this is how it is wired


did volt test and it is now 1.9v
also while on charger it is 4.3v
still running slow in forward , will spin tires in reverse at 37.7 v

HELP !!!

My next best guess is a bad connection in the red cable going from the +36v pack positive to the F & R, you only have current on that cable when it is on forward.
