Default Re: Club Car charger on a timer

Help me understand.
With cc charger, you connect it to your cart and it charges your batteries. Then your timer turns the a/c electric off. A few days later your timer turns the a/c electric back on. The charger will not come back on no mater what until you unplug it from cart and re-connect the d/c charge port. Is this correct?

Based on Sergio's note - the OBC must be "powered by the battery pack" - in which case - AC power or not - it must be still counting the days....

Correct, once the OBC finishes the charging and turns the charger relay OFF, it has no way to know if the AC plug is connected or not (or if a timer turned it off).

If You want to start another charge before the 15 day cycle, You will need to unplug the DC cord, wait 20 seconds and plug back in to force a new charge cycle.

According to the manuals, they recommend 5 secs with the DC plug disconnected to allow the OBC to sense it, if You plug it back after 5 secs and before 20 secs, the battery warning light will blink to indicate the OBC is awake, but a new charging cycle will not start.

If the charging cycle lasted 16 hours due to a bad battery, the OBC will blink the battery warning light and it will not start another cycle, so I don't think it will present any further risks at that point.
