Default wiring problem on 91 DS

I need a wiring diagram for a 91 DS electric V glide. The cart is dead. I found a broken wire (light Blue). One end comes from the For/Rev switch. I cant find where it goes to. I searched with the limited time available but was unable to find any other broken wire or terminal. I purchased it as a used cart and have never had the pleasure of fixing a golf cart before. I found a print on the net but it doesn't have the wire colors detailed. I suspect that the Blue wire goes to the on/off switch. What I do know is that when I put the cart in REV the buzzer works. Will the buzzer work with the key OFF? I don't have access to my cart until tomorrow morning to check the buzzer with the key on and then off. Thanks in advance for any help.

welcome to the forums Club. I'm new to this myself, but I'm working on the same kind of cart you are. I believe that the blue wire on your FNR switch is from your ignition. If its a thin wire, check the microswitch on the top of your FNR to see if the wire terminal is still there connected to the ms lead. If so, there should be a yellow wire attached to the other lead on the switch. Hope this helps you out and saves the pros here a little time. If not, one of them will be along shortly to save you. They're really helpful around here.

There are wiring diagrams at the top of each forum in the stickies. If you can't find one let us know.

Thanks for the info on the sticky's diagrams. I already have that print and it's very helpful but it doesn't show the wire colors. It does however show numbers which would be great if I had a guide to the numbering system. I have no experience with golf carts. I fix airplanes. I would like to check all of the wiring on my cart by wire guage and color to make sure it matches a known good diagram. The broken wire (blue) that I found looks like it was cut not broken per se, but the conductor (wire) doesn't seem to have a shine. Overall the wiring looks really rough, corrosion clearly evident. After I get it running I will be replacing most of the wiring. I'll probably do it a few wires at a time by guage. I'll probably buy some good wire and terminals. Any advice on where to purchase these items. If I can find correct wires already to go at a good price I'd rather do that. I've seen cable sets for batteries on ebay, not sure of quality but the prices are fairly cheap. Thanks again, CC91
