Default how many hours to rebuild front end?

I want to rebuild the front end on my í94 DS. The spring is sagging, the ball joints are sloppy, and the bushings have seen better days. I donít want a lift kit. The cart is exclusively used on paved roads. Top speed is about 22 MPH.

I plan to purchase the following 4 things:

(1) New ball joints
(2) New regular duty leaf spring
(3) The í93-and-up front end rebuild kit
(4) Jakeís wheelbase extension kit

Is it reasonable to think that I could do the whole job (tear down and complete rebuild) in an afternoon?

TJ

PS - Are there any other parts I should consider replacing?

An afternoon is about right for the job.

A side note: there are no ball joints per se on a CC DS. You've got one steering rod end and two tie rod ends.

Another note: you might want to consider packing the wheel bearings while you're in there, as to have a fully serviced and tight front end.

Easily doable. Have you looked into the rebuild kit at site sponsor Cart Parts Plus?

Stan beat me to it, although I agree with him

Thanks guys. Also, I'm a huge believer in supporting the sponsors.

Think about doing a 2 to 3 inch lift might be cheaper and stronger.

We do them in about an hour. We charge $250 including parts. It may take you 2-3 hours the first time.

Is the steering rod end the same part as the passenger side tie rod end? I've seen some vendors who claim it is the same part, and then other vendors have it listed as 2 separate parts.

I like supporting BGW sponsors. I also like supporting local businesses. There is a shop close to me, but based on the fact that there are different prices for the same part makes me wonder if they know which side is up. Perhaps I need to find a different vendor. hahahahaha
