Curtis 1510-5201 Repair Question

Decided to open up the Curtis 1510-5201 controller I had that wasn't working and try to fix it

Opened it up and the problem is quite apparent (7th pin from the left)

So my question, how would I fix that? Can I just solder it back up and hope for the best?

For anyone who is wondering how to open it up, press down on the center of the controller and the edges will bow out enough to get a small flat blade screwdriver. Press the screwdriver down and the controller cover will pop up. Pull the cover up and you are good to go

Can't see real good, but is that a pin burnt or broken on that connector? If so you could splice it with a strip of copper wire.

The pin is burnt and broken in the middle of the two boards, above the connector

Something caused it to burn. Like I said you could try replacing it with a strip of wire. When you get into the bottom board you may find something else burned.

I only have about 1/4" of space to play with between the two boards. I don't really want to unsolder everything to separate the two boards though

De solder the pin on top remove it and clean the hole and put wire through to bottom. Solder wire to bottom pin then solder top part should work.

Very cool, I've never seen one of these opened up before. Surely you could solder in a piece of wire or something...

Ok, I see what you are saying. If I have something that will work in place of the pin, I may give it a try. I don't have anything to loose
