Default Small controller failure can cost you hundreds (pics)

I was probably lucky to have my stock controller (Curtis #1510-5201) last as long as it did but after some testing and much help from members came to the conclusion I had a fried controller. Having nothing to lose I easily took it apart to see if anything wrong was noticable. Can you see what I see....that little resistor is going to cost me ALOT of money since i'm now ugrading

Also added a few pics of an open controller if anyone is curious on what they look like:

Cover easily pops off with a small flat head screwdriver:

Little tabs on each side is the only thing holding it together (no glue or silicone):

Thanks for sharing, I've never seen the insides of an IQ controller...

Can you not repair it and up the amperage? I've seen on series controllers u can. Maybe a techie will chime in. If u can parts are cheaper than a new controller.

I haven't been following this thread but if you have an iq and you are upgrading you should consider upgrading it to a series cart I upgraded mine a few years back and I couldn't be happier. Tons of torque for climbing hills and I still can get 24 mph on flat ground.
