36v v glide 1992 club car dead
My dads cart was charged and running around the farm (gravel drive, over turf, some bumps etc). He stopped by the wood pile to fill the bin he built over the rear seats with firewood. Not overloaded by any means. Got back in, put it in reverse.. it beeped appropriately... but did not move. forward neither. We towed it back to the garage using the farm tractor.
We have tested the batteries and topped them off on the charger. Charger is charging. All 6 batteries are registering 6V and start to end 36V. Vglide is functioning properly took cover off etc, 15V inline fuse is good. key has power, reverse beeps. I downloaded the wiring diagrams. Friends have suggested a faulty ground wire but so far haven't found anything. Battery connections are also clean. All wires I have looked at under the main seat seem good, no melted, charred, rusty etc. I have not yet jacked it up and crawled under. there is no click or sound when the "gas" pedal is depressed. nothing. I don't have the SN on me but will post it next time I get over to the farm to write it down. I bought the cart in summer of 2013 with all new batteries. thanks!!! |

Okay - no solenoid click is where you want to start. Check the micro-switch (ms) on the F&R. If it works check ms in the v-glide.

Re: 36v v glide 1992 club car dead
Will do.. I think he checked power to the F&R I downloaded the diagrams just a bit confused as to the microswitch reference.. sorry if this is a uber newbie question. By check.. can I test the V glide ms by removing the v glide cover with the batteries in place? or do I need to remove the batteries but with jumper cables etc keep them "in" the system? Again apologies... I can extract DNA from plant tissue yet electrical concepts somehow escape my grasp.
